無理をしないことです。

　自分（操縦者）の前方または後方から強風が吹いている場合、予想に反して機体が流される場合があり、そういう時に限って機体が太陽の中に入り、機体の姿勢が確認できないなど危険な状態に陥ることがあります。　

　このような状態を避けるためには絶対に無理はしないことです。

When ａ　ｓｔｒｏｎｇ　ｗｉｎｄ　ｂｌｏｗｓ　ｔｈｅ front or the back of pilot, the flying model is easy to fall into the dangerous condition. In such case, ｔｈｅ pilot can't confirm the position of flying model. So, please be careful of the flight training.

　着陸時にはエンジンに砂が入ったりして、エンジンにとっては過酷な状態になることもあります。

　その際、エンジンを洗うわけですが、まず水でエンジン表面に付着した泥を洗い落とします。エンジン内部に砂等が入った時には、機体からエンジンを外し灯油で洗浄します。

　その後エンジンを始動し異常がないことを確認します。水を使って大丈夫かと疑問の方もいらっしゃるとは思いますが、ここはプレーンベアリングエンジンの良いところでしょう。

離陸滑走のできない場所での飛行について A　flight training at a place which is impossible to take off.

近隣にラジコンクラブがあれば入会すれば良いでしょう。しかし、どうしてもひとりでやらざるを得ない場合もあります。そのような場合、まず安全に飛行できる場所を探す必要があります。離陸滑走のできない状態の場合でもあきらめることはありません。手投げによる飛行は可能ですし、胴体着陸にはなりますが十分練習には耐えることができます。

　その方法をお教えいたします。

　手投げ出発になりますが、低翼機も可能です。しかし、胴体着陸になりますから主翼下面は破損しやすくなりますので、１ｍｍ厚バルサでフルプランクします。

　私は現在４６クラスの低翼機を手投げで飛ばしていますが、何ら問題はありません。しかし、どうしても接地時の衝撃は大きく、胴体等の破損はつきものですから、できるだけ軽量に仕上げることが肝心です。

　胴体着陸の場合は衝撃が大きく、燃料タンク内の重りが絡むことが多いため、必ず着陸後にチェックします。

In case of an existence of an R/C club ｉｎ　the neighborhood of you, you can apply for membership. But in an unavoidable case, you cannot help flying an R/C airplane alone. Even though you cannnot secure a place which an R/C airplanes are impossible to take off, you can fly an R/C airplane by way of a hand-launch.

Low-wing models can be flied by way of a hand-launch. Although,models tend to be a belly landing and to be damaged easily, so you need to plank a bottom of wing .

胴体着陸の場合の注意事項 An advice of a belly landing.

着陸時にはエンジンをストップさせ、プロペラの破損を防ぎます。方法はスロットルトリムをロー側にセットしたときに、キャブレターが全閉になるよう調整しておきます。

　プロペラは水平から４５度回した位置で圧縮に入るようにセットします。

　主翼は必ずゴム止めとし、着陸時の衝撃を緩和するとともに、きつく締めすぎないように注意します。また、脚は取り外しピアノ線のソリに付け替えます。

　アンテナ線は必ずノイズレスパイプを通して胴体内に収納し、接地時の衝撃から守ります。

In case of a belly landing, you can stop a engine to prevent a damage of propeller blades. Furthermore you can tie a main wing and a fuselage with a rubber band. And you can remove a main and nose gear, so fit a skid made of a piano line on a fuselage.

You can pass an antenna line through a noiseless pipe and store it inside the fuselage.
